Robert Wade

Queen University Belfast

Robert is a PhD candidate and Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher researcher at the Department of Planning at Queen’s University Belfast.  His research looks at the influence of the political economy of renewable energy on low-carbon transition dynamics, and is part of the MISTRAL European Training Network on Renewable Energy and Social Acceptance.  Within Energy-SHIFTS Robert is supporting Working Group 1 on ‘Renewables’, which will provide SET-Plan focused research priority recommendations. The content of this working group overlaps with his research’s examination of how various social forces around the renewables sector shape the transition for their interests, to the exclusion of others.
